NY-Z (Dope)

No words needed...just pay attention

LMFAO

That's Lil Duval above, who clowned one of our "10 Worst Chains In Hip Hop" at last year's Hot107.9 Birthday Bash in Atlanta. While this particular piece has been laid to rest, other gaudy creations are still being flaunted by popular rappers. Check out the jewelry that gets a "hell no," and let's see if you can guess who the proud owners are:

10. This chain experienced a malfunction at last year's BET Hip Hop Awards, when it broke right off the rapper's neck. (Plies)

9. When HHNLive.com asked this rapper why he chose a Bart Simpson chain, he said, "I wanted to have a chain that was gonna shock the world and was gonna draw a lot of attention to me." Bravo, mission accomplished. (Gucci Mane)

8. This one just screams "No he didn't!" (OJ Da Juiceman)

7. This youngin' flaunted this Lamborghini chain last summer, made from a remote control car. (Soulja Boy)

6. Whose bright idea was it to put this $500,000 chain in the mail (from which it was stolen) and insure it for only $500? (Sean Kingston)

5. This rapper made his way into the Guinness World Records in 2007 with his “Crunk Ain’t Dead,", which was crowned the “largest diamond pendant” in the world. (Lil John)

4. Thankfully, this big ass mess is now six feet under. (T-Pain)

3. This one should be a piece of cake. (Rick Ross)

2. This iced out Newport box actually opens up for use as storage. Gaudy and functionality all in one. (Papa Nore)

1. Really? An iced out "Tony the Tiger"? (Gucci Mane)

Atlanta rapper T.I. has almost completed a one-year prison sentence for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers in 2007.

Today, the rapper will be released from house arrest and will begin three years of federal probation, his attorney’s revealed.

Now that he is off of house arrest, T.I. must observe a strict curfew for the next 23 days.

The rapper must be in the house by 11.PM, unless he has a show, in which case he will be allowed to stay out until 1:00 AM.

“He’s been working,” T.I.‘s lawyer Steve Sadow told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “He intends to continue working, which includes being in the [recording] studio and performing concerts."

T.I. was also fined $100,000 and he already completed 1,000 hours of community service prior to spending his time in prison.

In related news, T.I. has reportedly contributed a new verse to a track titled “Winner” featuring Jamie Foxx and Justin Timberlake.

The song is taken from Foxx’s new untitled album which is due in stores in June.

T.I. also premiered his own comeback track earlier in the month titled “I’m Back.”

The song is taken from an album T.I. is reportedly scheduled to release this August.

Damn Luda making all types of moves nowadays...

"Hip-Hop star Ludacris has become involved in the largest advertising campaign in U.S. government history as part of the government’s $300 million dollar effort to reach African-Americans for the 2010 census.

Ludacris is being featured on the “Luda On The Block Tour” in cities with high concentrations of African-Americans.

The rapper visited Dallas and New Orleans and will hit New York (4/5), Washington D.C. (4/6) and Atlanta (4/9) next month.

The Grammy Award winning rapper will explain the importance of taking 10 minutes to fill out the 10 questions during the 2010 census.

Ludacris believes being accurately counted will ensure various communities receive portions of a $400 billion annual allotment of federal support.

"I look at our communities now and I see many empty lots, closed clinics, dilapidated schools and an overall breakdown of social services for the poor and elderly," Ludacris said in a statement. "Today is a day for change. I plan to knock on doors in various neighborhoods around this country to try and dispel any myths about the Census. It’s important that we all stand up and be counted so we can help create potential financial opportunities for our dying communities."

Ludacris is also being featured in the radio/broadcast media advertisement in addition to a viral video campaign."

Indian military to weaponize world's hottest chili:

GAUHATI, India – The Indian military has a new weapon against terrorism: the world's hottest chili.
After conducting tests, the military has decided to use the thumb-sized "bhut jolokia," or "ghost chili," to make tear gas-like hand grenades to immobilize suspects, defense officials said Tuesday.
The bhut jolokia was accepted by Guinness World Records in 2007 as the world's spiciest chili. It is grown and eaten in India's northeast for its taste, as a cure for stomach troubles and a way to fight the crippling summer heat.

It has more than 1,000,000 Scoville units, the scientific measurement of
a chili's spiciness. Classic Tabasco sauce ranges from 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville
units, while jalapeno peppers measure anywhere from 2,500 to 8,000.

"The chili grenade has been found fit for use after trials in Indian defense laboratories, a fact confirmed by scientists at the Defense Research and Development Organization," Col. R. Kalia, a defense spokesman in the northeastern state of Assam, told The Associated Press.
"This is definitely going to be an effective nontoxic weapon because its pungent smell can choke terrorists and force them out of their hide-outs," R. B. Srivastava, the director of the Life Sciences Department at the New Delhi headquarters of the DRDO said.
Srivastava, who led a defense research laboratory in Assam, said trials are also on to produce bhut jolokia-based aerosol sprays to be used by women against attackers and for the police to control and disperse mobs.
